Requirements to rent

Reservation policy

In order to ensure that a boat is available during your planned vacation, reservations are highly recommended.  4 and 8 hour reservations require a $25 reservation fee.  This will be applied to your balance and the time of your rental, and is non-refundable.  Multiple day and weekly reservations require a 20% deposit to hold your dates.  This deposit is refundable less $100 if cancelled more than 4 weeks from date of rental.  Half of the deposit(if total deposit is more than $200) is refundable if cancelled more than 10 days from date of rental.  No part of the deposit is refundable within 10 days of the rental.

Reservations are not taken for human powered rentals.

Important rules:

-No pets over 20 pounds.  All pets must be declared prior to rental.

-Total number of passengers throughout the course of a rental may not exceed the USCG capacity of the boat.  Switching on and off will only be allowed at the discretion of Pierless Boat Rentals.

-Large groups(non-family units of more than 12) must make prior arrangements for rentals.  Due to the  increased risk exposure of large groups, special arrangements need to be made to ensure the safety of all  involved.  Additional charges may apply.

-Published rates are based on a single group departing and returning to our pier.

-All passengers and drivers must sign liability waiver before boarding.

-No grilling or smoking on any boats at any time.

-Boats returned with stains or messes will be charged a cleaning fee.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, and American Express.  Checks are required for multiple day rentals and encouraged for any reservation deposits requiring a reservation contract.  A 3.5% charge will be added to any credit card charges over $500 or any telephone payments.

-We require a major credit card number to be kept on file during the rental.  We hold this in case of damage to the boat.

-Government issued identification

-Anyone born on or after January 1, 1989 must have passed a certified Wisconsin Boater Safety exam.  Please click here for link.  This is the law and we can not make any exceptions.
